He's 1!!!

We started the morning with the exciting discovery of balloons on the ceiling fan!

We then moved on to present opening...he never got the hang of ripping the paper, but he like the surprise of new toys!

After church, we had dinner with Uncle Adam and then cake, ice cream,
and cookies with friends and family.

Of course, Caleb did the traditional dive into his cake.

He finished off the night by staying up until 9pm watching Toy Story
(had to wind down after all that excitement).

St. Patrick's Day at the park

Today was a beautiful sunny day in the low 60s, so we made a family trip to the park! We hadn't been in a while, and I think Caleb endured a little sensory overload...

he didn't care for the swings...

and he was somewhat neutral about the slide.

But, overall it was a good family outting. He really enjoyed walking around and a couple times he tried chasing down other peoples' balls...I guess we should have brought his with us!

Wahoo!

On Saturday, I was watching a little bit of the BYU vs. UNM basketball game on Todd's computer. Caleb was standing where he could lean on the coffee table and see the screen too. All of a sudden, he was swinging his pants above his head and yelling! I'm not sure how he got them off! Anyway, I figured this picture was cute enough to justify sharing the story:

Please pass the butter...

Caleb is now tall and agile enough to reach anything within 2 inches of the edge of our dining table. The other day, I accidentally left a stick of butter in the danger zone:

Oops.

Top Teeth!

The picture tells the story.

But for those who don't read pictures...this is the only shot of his teeth I've been able to capture! It required a lot of tickling and resulted in a lot of not-so-good pictures. Thanks to these new chompers, Caleb now really enjoys eating plain toast, graham crackers, and fresh bananas.
