My friend Courtney always holds a little party for the Kentucky Derby. This year, I decided to make my own hat out of a dollar store hawaiian straw hat and some ribbon. With a little work, it turned out alright (if I do say so myself). We had a grand old time picking our horses - Caleb's horse, Dublin, came in 7th...my pick, Discreetly Mine, came in 13th :( - eating Derby pie (SO GOOD! Like a soft chocolate chip cookie in a pie crust), and hanging out with the girls.
